A new law in Switzerland - Nothing short of amazing!

Starting July 1, 2025, a new law in Switzerland mandates the labeling of food products derived from animals that have undergone certain painful procedures without anesthesia.

This labeling requirement will apply to the following products:

* Beef: from animals that were castrated or dehorned without anesthesia.

* Pork: if castration, tail docking, or teeth clipping was performed without anesthesia.

* Eggs and poultry: from hens that underwent beak trimming without pain relief.

* Milk: from cows that were dehorned without pain relief.

* Frogs' legs: obtained without anesthesia.

* Goose and duck liver and meat: from forced feeding (a practice prohibited in Switzerland but allowed in other countries).

The purpose of this measure is to provide consumers with additional information about production methods, enabling them to know whether their food was produced using procedures that inflict pain on animals.
